Celebrate Christmas at St Stephen's

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas.

Every year, regardless of what has changed in the world and in our lives, it is a joy and a comfort to return again to the familiar but no less wonderful story of Jesus coming into the world, “God with us”.

We would love to extend a warm invitation to join us at our Christmas services, as we reflect afresh on this amazing hope.

We will be holding our traditional Carols by Candlelight at 6pm on the 15th of December, which is always a very special evening.

There will be a more informal Family Carol service, aimed at younger children, on the 8th of December.

We will also be celebrating together on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

May this Christmas be a season of peace and great happiness for you and your household.

Raising Confident Kids in a Confusing World

We are delighted that Faith in Kids are running an event, "Raising Confident Kids in a Confusing World" at St Stephen’s on Thursday 17 October.

To book a ticket, and for more info, use this link: https://buytickets.at/faithinkids/1333498

The event is open to parents from other churches in the area.

We all want our children to be confident of who they are and able to make good decisions for themselves, but they are hearing conflicting messages. Too often, Christian parents feel nervous and intimidated talking to their children on the subjects of bodies, gender, sexuality and their sense of self.

Ed Drew will serve up an evening of Biblical truth and practical wisdom, presented with a side order of real-life stories and a generous sprinkling of humour. It is perfect for parents at every stage of family life, from birth through to the teenage years, as well as for grandparents, leaders and anyone else who wants to be part of the wonderful challenge of raising children to lead flourishing lives for Christ.

Whiteley Foundation works completed

St Stephens would like to thank the Whiteley Community Foundation very much for their work freshening up the Hall and Parish room, and repainting the wall of the main church space! Lots of church family, guests and renters have commented how much brighter the spaces are. This is such a benefit to us, for the sake of renters, for our own ministry and for the wider community.
